Another Chattanooga police officer may have attended an ‘Anything But Clothes’ gang party.

The party was allegedly hosted by detective Iran Meadows and attended by well-known gang members.

Now investigators are looking into detective Jasin Holmes as well.

The party was allegedly held at the local police lodge at the end of January.

Both officers remain on active duty.

Sheriff Jim Hammond’s son has pleaded guilty to domestic assault.

Jimi Hammond was originally charged with aggravated assault in January. His wife said he attacked her when she got her out of the shower, punching her in the face and striking her with a beer bottle.

But now his charges have been reduced as part of a plea agreement.

That means he’ll be able to keep his job as webmaster at the sheriff’s office.

He’s been sentenced to less than a year of probation.

Two new abortion bills have passed in Tennessee.

The first requires all abortion clinics to be licensed by the state and subject to inspections.

Another requires a 48-hour waiting period before abortions. The measure also requires doctors to tell women about the dangers of abortion and about alternatives, such as adoption.

Governor Haslam is expected to sign the bills into law.

Chattanooga’s dilapidated barge may be gone as soon as Friday.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is working now on a plan to move the vessel.

Gulfstream Enterprises of Mississippi is being paid close to $200,000 dollars to move it. The company hasn’t said where exactly it will go.

Police say a man kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman in Dalton.

47-year-old Dennis Charles Watkins allegedly picked the woman up from a pharmacy on Cleveland Highway Monday.

After she was reported missing, officers found the two at the Guest Inn on Chattanooga Road.

When officers kicked in the door, Watkins was reportedly armed with a knife and scissors.

He was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Police say the victim had no serious injuries.

Chattanooga police say a man was stabbed repeatedly in a large fight outside Sugar’s Lounge Monday.

50-year-old Robert Peck was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition. Police say it’s unclear who stabbed him.

The investigation is ongoing.

The North Chatt Cat has closed.

The bar shut down this week after 12 years in business.

Owner Dennis Plumlee says he decided to give up the long hours after facing multiple knee and shoulder surgeries.

He says he sold the bar to Lisa Bowen and Vanessa Knight, who plan to renovate it and reopen.

A federal judge will issue a decision today in the case of prayer at the Hamilton County Commission.

Atheists Tommy Coleman and Brandon Jones sued the county in 2012, saying prayer at public meetings should be stopped.

The county asked U.S. District Judge Harry Mattice for summary judgement, which would represent a win.

Attorney Robin Flores says he plans to appeal the case if that happens.

A local staffing agency is holding a job fair until 6 p.m. today at the Holiday Inn Express in Cleveland.

The Tennessee legislature has passed a bill that may force drivers to have insurance before getting vehicle registration.

The bill would affect an estimated one out of every five drivers who go without insurance at some point.

It would also allow police to tow vehicles on the spot after their owners have been caught for the third time.

The bill’s sponsor says it will be back next year.

The Lee University graduate is one of six finalists on the show.

If he advances tonight, he’ll go on tour across America this summer.

Beckham is currently the overwhelming favorite to win.

The show airs at 8 p.m. tonight on Fox.
